1. City of Lubbock Swimming Pools may be rented on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
2. Reservation must be made at least one (1) week in ADVANCE at the Parks and Recreation Department located at 1010 9th Street.
3. The rental fee must be paid in full at the Parks and Recreation Department; one (1) week after the reservation has been made. This fee will be refunded only if inclement weather or mechanical problems develop.
4. Please contact the Parks and Recreation Department before 5:00 PM (775-2673/775-2670) if the weather is bad on the day of your reservation. A decision will be made whether to have the pool party as planned or to cancel the reservation. If weather problems arise after 5:00 PM, contact the Aquatics Supervisor at 777-0120 to discuss the rental.
5. An individual, family, club or organization may reserve the pools. The reserving party must be an adult (at least 21 years of age). This adult must be present during the reservation and is responsible for the conduct and behavior of those who attend. Reservations made for teens' or children's' activities must have at least two (2) parents or guardians present for the entire function.
6. The adult reserving the pool must be at the pool entrance and admit only those individuals invited.
7. The reserving party may not charge an admission fee to enter the pool.
8. It is permissible to serve refreshments at private parties; however, the renting party is responsible for the clean up of the pool and surrounding area. GLASS CONTAINERS or COOKING is NOT PERMITTED in the pool area. Please serve drinks in paper cups or cans and properly dispose of all trash.
9. Possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages on park property or in the pool area is prohibited (Ordinance No. 3886).
10. Smoking is prohibited inside any city facility and within twenty (20) feet of an entrance to any city facility (Ordinance No. 2001-00060).
11. Bands are NOT PERMITTED at the swimming pool. Electronic music boxes are permitted at a REASONABLE volume.
12. Private reservation swimmers must obey all the POOL RULES (posted at the pools). Swimmers MUST wear suits (NO CUT-OFFS or T-SHIRTS). Floatation devices are permitted in the pool at management's discretion.
13. The City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department shall terminate reservations, without refund, should the renter's actions deem it necessary.
14. The reserving party shall hold harmless, defend, release and indemnify the City against any suits, liabilities, claims, demands or damages, including, but not limited to, personal injuries and attorney's fees, arising from reserving party's use of the property and exercise of the license under this Agreement. The indemnity and release provided herein shall survive the termination or voidance of this agreement.
I HAVE READ AND THOROUGHLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO ABIDE BY ALL THE RULES AND REGULATIONS SET FORTH IN THIS AGREEMENT. I UNDERSTAND THAT FAILURE TO ABIDE BY THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS WILL RESULT IN THE TERMINATION OF THIS AGREEMENT:
